| It
is possible to lose weight without being hungry.
In fact it is possible to eat more than you normally would and still
lose weight it is just a question of making sure that you eat the
right foods.
One of the main reasons that so many diets fail is that they leave
us feeling hungry, tired and craving our favourite food. By eating
the right foods there is no need to feel hungry or tired although
you may still crave the occasional slice of cake.
The best way to lose weight without feeling hungry is to eat lots
and lots of vegetables and fruit. Most fruits and vegetables are
low in calories and high in fibre, vitamins and minerals. Fruit
and vegetables fill you up really fast so they leave less room for
other less healthy foods. Aim to eat at least 5 portions each day
and have at least one serving with each meal.
Try switching to wholegrain instead of white bread, pasta and rice.
Wholegrain foods contain more fibre than the over processed white
versions and leave you feeling fuller for longer as well as being
better for you.
Make sure that you are drinking enough water. The body often confuses
feeling hungry for feeling thirsty so the next time you get a hunger
pang try drinking a glass of water and you may find that the feeling
goes away. It is recommended that you drink at least 8 glasses each
day to stay properly hydrated.
There are many health benefits to losing weight such as reduced
blood pressure and cholesterol and lower rates of diabetes. Other
benefits of losing weight are that you will look and feel better
and have more self-confidence. If you need help overcoming weight
loss excuses or need some weight loss motivation stick an old photo
of yourself looking thin on the fridge to give you something to
aim for.
